It Begins

In July 2014 I was chatting to Paul, my friend from Aconcagua and he informed me that he had locked in his expedition to Everest in 2015. I also knew of a few other friends who were heading to Everest the same time.

After much thought and deliberation I concluded that I should do Everest sooner rather than later as being (relatively) young still I would have a better chance of getting up there. Plus after climbing with Paul on Aconcagua, I knew the guy would be a great tent mate and fun to climb with.

So here I am in February 2015, expedition all paid up, equipment all sorted and training once again like an animal to ensure I head to Everest in the best possible condition.

If I had to sum up how I feel right now it is: Excited, apprehensive, concerned and confident.
